I currently serve in the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky. I previously worked at Nazarbayev University in Kazakhstan and in the School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs at the University of Central Florida. I have published widely on various aspects of political instability, including on international conflict, civil war, peacekeeping, democratization, and – most notably – military coups.
